Description

About Us:

New Life Christian School has been shaping students in the Inland Northwest for nearly 40 years through Christ-centered, classical education. With a close-knit student body of approximately 125 students (K-12), we are dedicated to cultivating wise, thoughtful, and articulate leaders firmly rooted in biblical truth. Our faculty members are more than teachers—they are mentors, shepherding students toward academic excellence and a Christ-centered worldview in every subject they teach.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a mission-minded and dependable individual to serve as the Dean of Students and Formation. This full-time leadership position supports the Head of School by overseeing daily campus rhythm, shaping a Christ-centered student culture, and providing academic and curricular support for teachers. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, steady presence, and enthusiastic partner in spiritual formation, student development, and academic continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a Christ-centered campus culture: Model biblical truth, promote restorative practices, and encourage spiritual formation through daily interactions, chapel involvement, and discipleship opportunities.
  • Provide academic oversight: Support curriculum implementation and ensure consistency in instructional practices across grade levels. Collaborate with teachers to align curriculum to classical Christian education standards and support meaningful assessment.
  • Provide operational support: Oversee daily school schedules, classroom transitions, and routines. Coordinate classroom coverage and supervise arrival, lunch, recess, and dismissal as needed to ensure a smooth and safe school day.
  • Encourage and support faculty: Serve as a mentor and resource for teachers, assisting with classroom management strategies, lesson design, and professional growth. Lead collaborative conversations around pedagogy and student outcomes.
  • Oversee student formation and behavior: Lead age-appropriate student discipline with a heart for restoration and growth. Partner with teachers and parents to support students spiritually, emotionally, and behaviorally.
  • Coordinate student life and key events: Lead the planning of chapels, milestone experiences, field trips, and service opportunities that contribute to student growth and community life.
  • Serve as a leadership presence on campus: Act as the primary point of contact when the Head of School is unavailable. Represent the school’s mission with students, staff, and families with consistency and grace.
